Hart Tools launched their STACK modular storage system about a year ago, welcoming tool users to “meet the portable DIY-life.”
To my surprise, Hart has recently expanded their Stack system with new tool and parts storage products. In fact, several new Hart Stack storage SKUs popped up in search.
We never hear from Hart Tools – they explained that they’re solely focused on social media marketing – and so these new storage products could have launched anytime in the past 12 months since I last checked.
As a reminder, Hart tools and storage products are exclusively available at Walmart.
Let’s take a look at what’s new (or newish):
Hart Stack Organizer
There’s a new clear-lid tool and parts organizer.
It looks to feature 10 removable bins in small (8) and large (2) sizes. There’s also a narrow compartment down the middle that’s shown holding narrow parts in product images.
The shape of the lid helps to keep smaller parts within their own cups during vertical transport or storage.
Price: $22
Hart Stack Half Organizer Unit
There is also a new 15-compartment half-size Stack organizer. It features removable dividers, a clear lid, and fixed carrying handle.
Hart says that their organizer is perfect for DIYers, crafters, and hobbyists.
You can attach one or two half-size organizers to the top of a Hart Stack tool box.
Shown here is a bundle set, featuring a Hart Stack modular tool box and (2) half size organizers.
Price: $15 (each), $40 for the bundle
Hart Stack 2-Drawer Tool Box
The new Hart Stack 2-drawer tool box features internal dividers and a fold-up locking strip to help keep everything contained during transport..
Hart says that this tool box is: a perfect storage solution for home DIY, crafting, jewelry-making and scrapbooking.
A word of caution – it has been my experience that tool boxes with drawers can bind if heavy tools, parts, or tool boxes are placed above them.
Price: $44
Hart Stack 3-Case Organizer Unit
This Hart Stack organizer tool box features 3 clear organizer boxes are fully removable, each with their own carrying handles.
Hart’s product description says that there are moveable dividers, and it looks like each organizer case has up to 18 compartments.
As with the 2-drawer tool box, this one also has a fold-up locking slip to keep everything together for transport,
Price: $44
Discussion
While I wouldn’t expect these Hart Stack storage products to hold up against more premium solutions from Craftsman, Dewalt, or Milwaukee, they look to offer reasonable features at fair pricing. Maybe.
I checked for Hart Stack storage products the couple of times I visited Walmart stores in the past year, and they never had any on display.
Keep in mind the target audience – DIYers and crafters – as well as the price points, and adjust your expectations accordingly.
It’s good to see that Hart actually expanded the Stack lineup, and I hope they continue to do so. It’s always good to have more storage options.
